21.-27.06.03.-
Pilgrimage to Lourdes, France |
| Invited by AGESCI, 6 UKIJ
scouts participated in children pilgrimage in St. Mary's Sanctuary
in Lourdes, France. There have come the children from all over the
world, mostly from Africa and South America, altogether 200,000
children. Among many happenings prepared in Lourdes for children, the
loveliest were international clown festival and building of Noah's Arc.

to the Pope" |
| 22 UKIJ scouts walked
all night from Jarmina to Osijek to meet
The Holly Father and attend the holly mess. We walked the distance
of 35 km in 8 hours time. After the mess held on open air on +38
degrees(C) we couldn't - due to heat, exhaustion and aching legs - walk
back to Jarmina. Although it was exhausting, we are happy that
everything finished happily.

| Around 25 UKIJ scouts aged at least 15 will walk from
Jarmina to Osijek to the holly mess with Holly Father. 35 km u one-way,
the same back, with personal equipment at the back, all within 24
hours....Although it might be tough, we are looking forward to it...

Visit of Italian scouts |
| Due to the final agreements regarding mutual summer
activities of Italian scouts and UKIJ, four Italian scouts visited
Jarmina for two days. During that period two meetings have been held in Vukovar, with youngsters who had attended training scout camp in Italy,
and one meeting with youngsters of Nijemci region who are- after Easter
training camp and some years of cooperation with Italian scouts and UKIJ
- on the right way to very soon establish their own scout group.Special
"privilege" for UKIJ and Italian scouts was soccer
tournament of all Jarmina's associations, held on Sunday. In men's
part the semifinals slipped to UKIJ for a bit, whereas UKIJ girl-scouts
won second place. Needles to say: the two UKIJ teams where international
- Italian scouts played for us.

Action "Kod krapinskog pračovjeka" |
| Big gathering of all Croatian scouts took place in
Krapina, hosted by "Hrvatsko zagorje" scout group, with whom
UKIJ closely cooperates. 40 UKIJ scouts of all ages spent three days in
Krapina, and those more adult greatly helped to the hosts.

Training scout camp in Italy |
| In trying to set up foundation of new scout groups in
Vukovar and Nijemci, AGESCI and UKIJ organized the training camp in Vara
Inferiore near Genoa, Italy. 5 youth from Nijemci and 4 from Vukovar,
together with 3 scouts from UKIJ participated in the camp.Look at the participant
list and some pics.

of the German Catholic Scouts to UKIJ |
| Five German Catholic Scouts from Ulm (between Munich and
Stuttgart) have visited UKIJ scouts in their visit tour of Vukovar. We
talked about summer activities which German scouts tend to organize
(building of children playground in Mitnica) and expected help from UKIJ
side.

| 24.04.03.- Visit
to the ZOO in Osijek |
| In manifestaion of Saint George (23.04.), the patron of
the scouts all over the world, 45 UKIJ scouts went to a whole day visit
to Osijek, where they visited city ZOO, did the sightseeing of
historical city (Tvrdja), accompanied by the scouts from "Slavonski
hrast" Osijek scout group.

| 20.04.03.- Giving of Easter eggs |
| After main holly mess UKIJ cubs were giving Easter eggs
and Easter cards to the inhabitants of Jarmina
|
| 12.-13.04.03.- Youth association fair |
| UKIJ presented itself on Youth association fair in Zagreb
in Student Center, during the World Day of Youth Activism. In group of
catholic associations, Josipa, Mario and Kruno preseneted UKIJ.

| 05.04.03.- Meeting with SIH President |
| Toni and Mario took part in meeting with SIH Presidency
in Osijek.
|
| 05.-06.04.03.- Cross Path over Prigorje |
| Together with 620 persons, in traditional, this year 31th
mountain Cross Path near Jastrebarsko and Krasic, participated Ana,
Marija and Nikolina from UKIJ. The path: Gornji Desinec- Jastrebarsko -
Krašić was walked by foot. The hosts were expecting the participants
on each Cross Path Station with tables full of sendwiches, cookies and
juice...With the thinking of God with motto: "Here I stand at the
door and knock", many friendships were set up. UKIJ girls had
wonderful time, which is the reason why they expect to take part in the
next year event...

| 29.03.03.- Cross Path in Krapina |
| For a second year Group of scouts "Hrvatsko
zagorje" Krapina organized Cross Path where apart from scouts lots
of local inhabitants participate.Cross Path was laid out all over wide
Krapina surroundings, and in this wholeday activity which is very good
spiritual preparation for Pasqua, on UKIJ side were Željka and Pero.

| 21.-23.03.03.- KOT 2003 |
| Third year in a row
UKIJ participated in "Kriz orientation competition - KOT
2003". Competing with 10 teams of scouts category, Erika, Marina,
Danijel, Kristijan and Davor won satisfying 6th place.

| 15.-16.03.03.- Visit of italian scouts |
| Planning forecoming
activities for the youth of Nijemci and Vukovar, four italian scouts
(AGESCI) together with UKIJ visited a group of young people in Nijemci
and Vukovar. We had long conversations about developing of new scout
groups in Nijemci and Vukovar, and about the Easter scout camp in Italy
for these youngsters, who should be the leaders of new scout activities
in their towns. See the pics...

| 13.-15.02.03.- Participation in "Society days 2003" |
| The annual
"Society days" were organized in "Zagreb Fair"
convenction centre by National Office for Societies of RH Goverment. For
second year UKIJ participated - 3 UKIJ members represented our group,
especially our "Scout animation camps" project for eastern
Slavonija, which was supported by the Office.

| 01.02.03.- Annual convention of UKIJ |
| The annual UKIJ
Convention was held on the 6th on sixth anniversary of
UKIJ. During the convention the elections for new members of presidency
were conducted. Our honored guests on the convention were scouts from
Krapina, Popovača, Bistra, Osijek, the youth from "Croatian
Bishop Conference", a representative from "Croatian Youth
Network", representatives of local societies, our scouts'
parents...around 100 participants in whole, so far the most. See the pics

| 29.12.02.-01.01.03.- Visit of Italian scouts |
| We hosted three Italian
catholic scouts (AGESCI) from Genova for three days. Their visit finished
with our New Year's celebration. The goal of their visit was the
arrangement of our mutual activities during 2003. in Vukovar and Nijemci.
Those days we held as well a meeting with interested young people and some
school managers of Vukovar, and similar meeting in Nijemci. The next
big step should be an Easter scout camp in Italy for youth of Vukovar and
Nijemci who are interested in scouting. Till that time UKIJ must animate
"critical number" of young people from Vukovar and Nijemci for
the camp. Anyone young from Vukovar or Nijemci interested? E-mail us, and

| UKIJ carried Betlehem light,
brought from Wiena, during the holly mess into churches of
Vrbanja, Nijemci (Lipovac), Županja ana Jarmina. Look how

| 14.-15.12.2002.- UKIJ in Rijeka and Crikvenica |
| Four members team of
UKIJ were in search for summer camps for young scouts (6-10 year's) and explorers
(10-14 year's). With help of scouts from Volovsko near Rijeka, we made a
tour of pleaces near Crikvenica (Drivenik). Look at pictures
of Drivenik's surroundings were it will be UKIJ's summer
camps.

| 13.-15.12.2002.- Betlehem light |
| Six years in the row UKIJ
members bring Betlehem light enkindled in Betlehem, simbol of peace
and love, in their bishopric. This year our member Ivana Horvat were in
eight member delegation of SIH (Croation scouts association) which went to
bring the light from Wiena, Austrija. In the last days before Christmas UKIJ members
will take Betlehem light already traditionally in Županja, Nijemci,
Lipovac, and for the first time in Vrbanja In Jarmina's chirch the light
will be brought at mess in Christmas eve. Look at pictures from Wiena, the prayer wich

| 11.-15.12.2002.- CARE workshop |
| Organization CARE
International in place Begovo Razdolje - region Gorski Kotar, organized
seminar - workshop called "development and maintenance of organization". Seminar was organized for Youth groups from central and
estern Croation. Josip Jelušić, UKIJ member, was also participant on this
seminar.

| 13.12.2002.- Region group meeting for groups who work for wellbeing of children |
| In Osijek, UNICEF
office
organized for Croatia first group meeting who work for wellbeing of
children, with initiative for better coummunication and common work of
thesse
group. UKIJ got invitation to participate in this meeting. Two
members Mario K. and Krunoslav C., presented our group and the way we work
with accent on many years of humanitarian group work with children of
Vukovarsko-Srijemska county in international project "Scouts animation
camps".

| 8.-10.11.2002.- Orientational competition in Križ (KOT 2002) |
| UKIJ for the second time
participated on KOT in Križ near Zagreb. Five team members (Hrvoje H., Kristijan H., Ivan K., Ana Š., Željka Đ.)
with their leader Vinko Jakoplić in
younger category (10- 16 years), among seven teams, won fifth pleace.

| 14.-20.10.2002.- Seminar in Portugal |
| More Europian
organization organized seminar "primary prevention in Europe"
against drug, held in Portugal, in Benavente, 50 km far from Lisboa.
Main aims of seminar was to get fun one week without drugs (no matter how
strange it sounds for us?!). On this
seminar was 23 young people from different Europian countries, for example:
Belgium, Malta, Srbia, France... and between them Croatia. Five youngs from
diferent group made Croatian team, between them one UKIJ member Krunoslav
C.. He returned with many valuable things, new friendships and beautiful
memories. On his way back from Portugal our team visited Paris ("Town
wich newer sleeps"). There are also two pics.

| 05.10.2002.- Autumn games of younger scouts (6-10 years) in Osijek |
| 12 younger scouts and
thre leaders participated on regulary autumn games of younger
scouts. This year autumn games organized scout group "Slavonski
hrast" Osijek. They all come back with great memories, thanks to the
hosts. See the pics.

| 27.-29.09.2002.- Verification camp in Koprivnica |
| Every year UKIJ
tradicionally conducts its verification camp where it is talked about
work during the last year. Our hosts were extremely hospitable members of
scouts group "Bijeli javor" from Koprivnica Participants were
scouts - explorer (clan) and mountainers (owls).Two new members of clan
received their Totems. See conclusions

| 10.-25.08.2002.- Animation camps in Vukovar and Ilok |
| Sixth year in the row,
together with Italian scouts, UKIJ organizes and takes part in animation
camps for children who live in passwar places in Vukovarsko -Srijemska
county. Like it was previous years, there were scouts from Popovača and
Krapina, and the first time from Bistra. From Italian scout group (AGESCI)
there were scouts from Parma, Alessandrija, Bologna, Genova, Milan...
Together 5 camps in 2 weeks are carried out - 4 in Vukovar and 1 in Ilok. Every
camp lasted one week, and some of them were in same time but on the diferent

| 03.-08.08.2002.- Scout camp in Tršće |
| On scouts invitation from
Volovsko, 7 our scouts from UKIJ made instruction camp for some nonscouts
group (Volovsko, Delnice...) in Tršće, Gorski kotar. There was about 30
participans. It was wonderfull, and SMS messages still come today too. Look the
pics.

| 25.07.-02.08.2002.- Scout camp on Jankovac |
| Third summer UKIJ is on
Jankovac. On summer camp, under the theme "Lord of the
rings...", were 17 explorers (10-14 years) from UKIJ and 20 children
from Nijemci, near Vukovar (second year they are with us). In the same
time were 9 younger scouts (7-10 years) on camp too. There was 9 leaders.
In all 57 people. Our biggest camp until now!!! Look who was on
camp, and look the pics, ofcourse!

| 21.-23.06.2002.- Seminar in Zadar to incorporate all associations who work with youth. |
| Associatios of Croation
esperantes started the project on program and organizational
incorporation connection of all Youth croatian groups. In the first phase
weekend seminar in Zadar tool place with many croatian groups, between
them there was UKIJ and two UKIJ members (Kruno and Vinko). This project
got
support from the National institute for protection of families, maternity and
youngsters.

| 15.06.2002.- River regatta in Osijek |
| On invitation scout
group "Ruža otajstvena" from Osijek, Kruno, Vinko, Lovro and
Josip participated on river regatta in Osijek. With the boat they
navigated from Osijek to Aljmaš. Another one wonderfull experience.

| 13.06.-21.06.2002.- Scout camp in Italy |
| Seven
scouts from UKIJ and tree scouts from Zagreb participated on AGESCI's
scout camp in Italy, region Liguria (Genova). That was a chance to be
again on the camp in mountain place Vara Inferiore, where the idea
about scouts in Jarmina was born. Look at the pics.
